There are different approaches to reading God’s word, and in devotional reading the question needs to be asked – I am seeking to gain information or allowing God’s formation to shape my life.
Lectio Divina is a spiritual practice. When a person starts to listen (Lectio), it will prompt personal reflection (Meditatio), followed by an internal response (Oratio), then in the Lord through love to watch or rest (Contempiatio).
